Below are links connected to Dudleytown. Please note that MOST are favorable (very) to the place being haunted. I list them ONLY so that my visitors can see what others think and believe concerning the place. MANY contain "pictures of ghosts."
Creepy CT. This is the best Paranormal site
on the Web!! Truthful, spot on in their research, yet open minded. Yep, Barry and the gang
got it right, and it gladdens the heart! Neat music, too! Twist and shout--check it out!
The Cosmic Society of Paranormal
Investigation Word has it that they broke off from the Warrens. Lots of
D-town pictures. NOTE: This site has had a discussion board, but it was getting
abused and was shut down. FYI, I am a member of this one.
Western CT. Paranormal Society.
Simply one of the best paranormal sites on the web. While totally
accepting of the Paranormal, this group takes it seriously, NOT giving
directions to anything, but researching it all with a REALISTIC view that not
EVERYTHING is haunted!
Parascope a smorgasbord of Paranormal
things....with a D-town Page called "The Curse of Dudleytown." The usual D-town
story, but does have pictures.
Connecticut Paranormal
Research Society Broke off from The Warrens. Actually, one of the better
sites....more open minded. A decent D-town page that changes every once in
awhile.
H.O.P.E.
These guys know everything about anything paranormal. Typical pictures,
but the story behind them is almost laughable.
The Seekers This is apparently a
group of Wiccans who investigate the Paranormal. They have a page about
Dudleytown that purports to contrast the Blair Witch Project and D-town. The
only problem is that they do not state whether the "Legend" of D-town is true
or false. This IS important in that many (if not most) people believe Legends
to be true. If you read carefully enough, you find that they take no stance on
it. Typical pictures. This is one of the groups that disagreed with my
Paranormal Society page so much that they removed a link to this site. Other
than that, a nicely done page.
DUDLEYTOWN These young folks
have the right idea, and with time could grow into an excellent page. Lots of
good pics.
Warrens Home Page I thought this
deserved a link by itself. As you would think, a Warren Advertisement, complete
with a vocal greeting by Lorraine! Advertises everything Warren, and HAD a
message board that was heavily guarded against anyone posting anti-Warren
messages. It was at one time open, but admittedly folks began abusing it. It is
now closed.
Paranormal Research
Society. The ONLY Warren soundalike site, I originally thought
these guys were a Warren breakoff, UNTIL they put up their Dudleytown page!
This is the only page that uses the Warren Dudleytown story that the other
Paranormal Societies long ago abandoned due to inconsistencies with the
Traditional tale. ( see the Warren page for
details). Well, when I finally read their bio page, I found out why. One of the
founders of PRS is Ed and Lorraine's nephew and this throws a dim light on the
rest of their research. The site is, for the most part, very good. Check out
the "Skeptics Page" It's one of the best!
Haunted
Places One of the better Dudleytown pages, as the author seems to
understand the complexity of the story. With a little research, will be one of
the best.
Haunted
America A very short story with no background.
Ghostvillage A relatively new site
brought to us by Jeff Bellinger, who took a number of the photos used (with his
permission) on THIS site. Although very "into" the Warrens, a very good site
overall. I do wish he'd fix the quotes by me, however. They are not quite
accurate. This one HAS a discussion board, and a chat room. Check it out!.
Queen of Tag Sales
Not really a Dudleytown page, but the person LIVES there, and her remarks
are revealing! NOTE: Tripod (her server) is even more unreliable than
GeoCities! This site, then, goes UP and DOWN...keep checking back.
The Amityville Murders Does for
the Amityville Horror what THIS site does for Dudleytown. THE FACTS behind the
story! An excellent site, well researched and presented. CHECK IT OUT!
